E.ON Brightfield – Unlocking the potential of smart power supply

In collaboration with E.ON, we harnessed the potential of data from an all-in-one IoT application to enable early detection and resolution of energy distribution issues. This resulted in significant improvements in power supply reliability, operational efficiency, and optimized energy flow. The intelligent data collection system maximizes grid performance, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future.

Shaping the Future of Energy Supply

The digitalisation of distribution grids is crucial to accelerating the energy transition and ensuring a predictable energy supply. Innovative solutions and close cooperation between different industries and sectors are required. The use of the “Power of Data” is driving the digitalisation of electricity grids, which generate more than 600 million data points every day. The “Brightfield” platform plays a central role in making these networks future-proof.

Brightfield turns any transformer into a real-time data unit

Leveraging time-synchronized transformer data, Brightfield enables users to predict and prevent faults effectively. The system collects and timestamps data, offering valuable insights into grid utilization, thereby optimizing planning and cutting maintenance costs. With AI-driven load prediction, accuracy soars, driving profitability in large-scale renewable energy due to the fact that it poses a challenge to the grids. Additionally, the transformer system, powered by IoT and big data analytics, ensures uninterrupted energy flow while benefiting from cloud storage expertise provided by Google Germany.

  • Potentially the world's first application to track energy grid data in near real-time without requiring extensive infrastructure upgrades.

  • Delivering a cost-effective and easy-to-install solution for energy grid digitization.

  • Simplified data evaluation through a use-case-driven dashboard.
